Elaine Soto, LCSW, is dedicated to meeting clients where they are and helping them identify their goals and the steps to achieve them. She believes in challenging clients to overcome obstacles and will guide them through this process. Elaine also focuses on identifying clients' strengths and resources to support their growth and beyond.

Elaine specializes in working with children, teens, and young adults. Her experience includes young children, foster care, adoption, attachment issues, ADHD, trauma, anxiety, depression, and immigration-related issues. She is also fluent in Spanish.

In the first session, Elaine will introduce herself, gather the client's history, and conduct any necessary assessments. She will explain the therapy process, and for children and younger teens, both the parent and child will typically be present for most of the session. They will discuss the client’s story and therapy goals, and if time permits, engage in a rapport-building activity. For younger children, parents may leave the session unless their presence is requested by the child.

In subsequent sessions, Elaine continues to build on the foundation established during the initial visit. For younger clients, she actively involves parents, providing updates on progress and collaborating on strategies to support the child's development. Sessions focus on addressing specific goals, exploring progress, and adjusting the approach as needed. Elaine uses a blend of therapeutic techniques tailored to each client's needs, fostering an environment where children, teens, and their families feel supported and empowered. Regular communication with parents ensures that everyone is aligned and working together towards the client's growth and well-being.
